The content of the OTT platforms is meant for different age groups and different target audiences (Vasudha Venugopal, 2021). The categories of target audiences and the content designed for them are carefully sorted by the different platforms of OTT include Amazon prime and Netflix which allows them to ensure that inappropriate content is not circulated among appropriate age groups. The segregation of the contents and the shows of an OTT platform is also protected through the name of the individual account holder through a verified password which enables the account holder to ensure that the content is protected and suitable for a particular age group. At the same time, it also allows the OTT platforms to show customized content and shows according to the tastes and preferences of the audiences and their age groups.

The body that looks after the security and the suitability of the content of OTT platforms in Singapore is known as IMDA (Vasudha Venugopal, 2021). The body is responsible for scanning the content of different platforms of OTT so that misuse of the content or negative effects of the content can be curbed. Similarly, the body that looks after the content segregation of OTT platforms in Australia is known as ACMA. The evaluation of the content for the kids and the adolescents is considered very important for the body as a result of which the elements of sex, nudity and violence are disclaimer and chipped off from the contents of the OTT platforms in Australia (Vasudha Venugopal, 2021). The BSA act of Australia is known to be effective against the protection of OTT content in the country. The rules and regulations of checking and evaluating the content in laid down by the act and is followed by the authorized bodies of the country (Vasudha Venugopal, 2021). In the USA the body called FCC looks after the suitability of the contents of the OTT platform whereas, in India, the body called IAMAI is responsible for the segregation of the content on the platforms of OTT.
