The most awaited fashion week of New York is expected to hit the city in February 2022. The designs for the premiere of the show will take the fashion industry by fire from the 10th of February. The much-awaited event of the season is expected to be held in Manhattan and is to be graced by the Spring studios. One of the most exciting announcements of ‘fashion freaks’ is that the show will be streamed online simultaneously with the main event on account of the COVID restrictions, keeping in mind the safety of the fashion lovers (New York Times, 2021). The backdrop of the entire city is to be utilized for the fashion week where the themes of fall and winter are to be showcased.

The choice of the venue has a rich history that dates back to the year 2010 when the location for the event had been altered from the traditional venue of Bryant Park. This had been eventful for the show as it had been a breakthrough from the age-old tradition since the year 1993. New York has not been the most popular hub of fashion like Paris but the rate of fashion shoes that are hosted by the city and the worldwide popularity of the shows is what makes the city’s fashion industry so popular (New York Times, 2021). The city is also among the four big cities including Paris, Milan, and London that hosts fashion weeks that are a must-watch for the fashionistas. Currently, the other fashion weeks that are running on the minds of the fashion lovers of New York City are the Vogue fashion week and the fashion week of WWD. The brand names of the fashion week are highly recognizable which makes the events popular among the fans.

Several facts are less known by the followers of the fashion week. One of the least known facts is related to the celebrity rows of the fashion week. The amount that is required to be paid by fashion designers of the show to the celebrities to occupy the front rows of the show reached the limit of $100,000 (New York Fashion Week, 2021). The preparations for the fashion week are tedious and time taking as it takes about 3 weeks for the preparations to be completed (New York Fashion Week, 2021). The promotion for the upcoming event is streaming on popular social media platforms and will continue to allure fashion lovers through fun videos and facts.
