Christmas bells are ringing across the nation and the air smells of festivities and celebrations. Restaurants, cafeterias, clubs, shopping malls and the frequently cherished hubs of the nation are all decked up to welcome the party lovers of the season. The must-visits of the nation for the season and their festive preparations are to be noted down by the party lovers.

The city of joy and its eternal love for cricket and food is perfectly reflected through the extravagant Christmas special platter by the Monkey’s bar, combining the IPL teams and the finger-licking treats of the season (T2, 2021). The Hyderabad Nagarjuna Chilli Chicken Roll and the Bangalore Prawn Chilly Butter Garlic are a perfect start for spice-loving Kolkatians. Drinking games trending on Instagram will also be witnessed in the venue including beer pong, beer relay, and flip the bottle (T2, 2021). Masks that are COVID restricted are a must on the list of ‘does and don’ts’ to ensure safety for all amidst the celebrations.

Mumbaikars, on the other hand, are no less in gearing up for the season. The Crawford market has dressed up in beautiful hues of festive red, white and green. Christmas goodies, mistletoes, trees, stars, and bells have taken over the usual market goods (Hindusthan Times, 2021). Decorations are the favourite picks of the city as the streets are flooded with Christmas lovers. It’s a holy month for the patrons and churchgoers of Mount Mary at Bandra (West) (Hindusthan Times, 2021). Struck by festive fever, the church is all set to host its midnight mass for welcoming the lord with lit-up candles and lights.

It’s a different kind of celebration for the people of Kodagu as COVID restrictions are being strictly observed. (Madekeri, 2020) The much-awaited arrival of ‘Santa’ has been temporarily held back due to the night curfew imposed on the city dwellers. Yet, the celebrations are boundless with the decorations of the Christmas crib. The church of St Antony Church in Suntikoppa is also set for decorations like every year (Madekeri, 2020). The only gap in the fun-filled plan of the event is the absence of Santa and his surprise visits to the houses. The restrictions of Covid are being strictly observed as the safety of the people is being considered the most precious gift from the lord.
